Real Estate - Buffalo BossWing night is coming to Jay Street. Buffalo Boss, the wing eatery in which rapper Jay-Z is an investor, has signed on for its third Brooklyn location. The three-year-old chain signed a 10-year deal for 600 square feet at 400 Jay St., at Willoughby Street. Asking rent was $30 per square foot.
Owned by Jay-Z’s cousin Jamar White, Buffalo Boss already has a location at 554 Fulton St. and inside the Barclays Center.
“They’re getting so many takeout orders from MetroTech and from Dumbo, that they wanted a location farther down[town],” said Adam Stupak of Task Real Estate, who represents the chain. He noted that the company is looking to expand into Manhattan, where it is eyeing neighborhoods including Harlem and Wall Street.
Buffalo Boss was also lured to Jay Street in order to be near other popular eateries including Shake Shack and Potbelly, said Jason Pruger, the Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail broker, who along with colleague Ross Kaplan, represented landlord Robert Zirinsky.
The new wings bar is expected to open for business in July. It replaces a cellphone store.
